The Marvel Cinematic Universe continues to expand with no signs of slowing down. The DC Expanded Universe, meanwhile, is stuck playing catch-up (and seems to be struggling to do so). A few expensive misfires here and there (looking at you, Fantastic Four) haven’t put much of a wrinkle in what we all know to be true these days: comics are experiencing their biggest renaissance since, like, ever. It’s not just the big name superheroes like Batman and Spider-Man continuing to cash checks in the zeitgeist, either....
